Doctrine – The GBC Statement of Faith

Harmony in a church begins with doctrinal unity (Eph. 4:1-6, 13; Jude 3). Grace Bible Church (GBC) is a member of IFCA International and holds to a very conservative, Biblical, pre-millennial, dispensational, cessationist theology using the grammatical-historical method of Bible interpretation.
Any pastor of GBC must be in full agreement with our Statement of Faith. We recognize that our Statement of Faith goes beyond the fundamentals of faith that every true Christian must believe to also include secondary and tertiary issues in order to prevent serious doctrinal aberration or threats to the unity of this body of believers. We do not allow church membership to those who disagree on fundamental and secondary issues. We do allow membership to those who disagree on tertiary issues, but we do not allow teaching contrary to our doctrinal statement. We recognize that a new pastor may not have yet come to a place of doctrinal conviction on tertiary issues, but he may not teach contrary our doctrinal position. Personal integrity would demand that if he comes to a conviction contrary to our positions then he would find a new place of ministry in alignment with his convictions.
