One of the ministries of Grace Bible Church is a Homeschool Cooperative. One of the members / attendees of the church that you pastor is applying to be part of the co-op. Since you are responsible for shepherding this family, we want to make sure you are aware of the nature of the co-op and approve this family’s participation. Our desire is for this ministry is to enhance the Body of Christ in our local area by providing a place for homeschool families to cooperate and share resources in educating their children in an environment that supports their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and is faithful to a grammatical – historical interpretation of the Bible.
We do not want other churches of like faith to feel threatened in any way by this ministry which is part of the reason for this pastoral reference form. We want to ensure that you are aware of this families request to participate in the GBC Homeschool cooperative. We also desire to see similar ministries started in other churches. We view families that come from other churches as the opportunity to train them to help with a similar ministry in their own church in the future. If you would be interested in seeing such a ministry started in the church you are pastoring, we would be glad to help.
